Marketing & Communications Officer

Under the general direction of the Group Marketing & Communications Manager, the incumbent will contribute to and support the overall marketing and communications strategies for the Credit Unions of Jamaica brand and the JCCUL Group of entities.

Role:

In this role, you will contribute to and support the overall marketing and communications strategies for the Credit Unions of Jamaica brand and the JCCUL Group of entities, enabling the entities to achieve its Mission, Vision and Major Targets in a sustainable manner.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the Marketing and Communication strategies for the JCCUL Group
Support the conceptualization, planning and execution of all marketing and communications campaigns to enhance the Credit Union Movement and the Group entities
Responsible for the management of the marketing and communications platforms, including websites and social media applications, including but not limited to: Developing and implementing plans to manage, along with the Digital Marketing companies, the Credit Unions of Jamaica (CUJ) and the JCCUL Group of entities’ websites and social media platforms, conceptualizing engaging content, managing social media channels and providing feedback to members, analysing and reporting audience interaction and the success of social media initiatives. Updating information on all platforms
Contribute to the planning and executing of events, activities and meetings for the Credit Union Movement and the JCCUL Group
Perform any other related duties, consistent with the general level, nature, functions and objectives of the job

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or other related fields
Three (3) years of experience in a similar position, with at least two (2) years of demonstrated experience in events planning

Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Personal Attributes

Strong knowledge of Marketing and Communications Management, including Marketing Campaigns, Brand Image Management, Marketing Competitiveness and Media Relations.
Knowledge of the tools and options available to impact perception, attitude and behavioural change
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to articulate trends clearly and confidently
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to network effectively, with a customer-centric focus
Personable and engaging

Special Conditions Associated with the Job

May be required to work extended working hours, including weekends
Must own a reliable motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s licence
Travel in and outside of the corporate area
