Client Relations Officer

Cumax Wealth Management Limited (a subsidiary of the Jamaica Co-Operative Credit Union League Limited), is seeking to recruit an experienced Client Relations Officer with a passion for building and maintaining relationships with clients, to join its Wealth Management team.

The Role:

Reporting to the Client Relations Team Lead, the Client Relations Officer will be responsible for assisting with activities relating to the efficient execution of member and client engagement, business development, sales and marketing activities. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • On-board new clients and maintain files for existing clients.
  • Provide general information to clients and prospective clients on products and services.
  • Manage the Customer Complaints Log in keeping with Customer Complaints Policy.
  • Process Client transactions (subscriptions and redemptions) including the issuance of Contract Notes and Client Statements.
  • Generate and dispatch confirmation for Repurchase
  • Agreements as per service level agreement.
  • Participate in the company’s sales, marketing, and public relations activities, such as trade shows, group presentations, promotional campaigns, advertising campaigns, planning client events and marketing initiatives etc.
  • Assist in developing standard procedures and policies.
  • Manage the publication of the Net Asset Value for Cumax as well as preparing the required reports within the established timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1st Degree in Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 2-3 years in a similar position in a financial institution
  • Caribbean Securities Course for licensing by the Financial Services Commission as a securities Dealer

Knowledge, Skills, Competences, and Personal Attributes:

  • General knowledge of investment products, financial sector instruments, laws, regulations, ethics and professional jargons
  • Basic Accounting Skills
  • Well organized and have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Good customer service and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good networking and interpersonal skills
  • High level of computer literacy and skills

Manager – Origination and Structuring

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Cumax Wealth Management Limited (a subsidiary of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Limited), is
seeking to recruit a solutions oriented and innovative Manager – Origination and Structuring to join its
Investment Banking Department.

The Role:

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and
executing strategic financial plans to ensure optimal investment decisions for the entity. Duties include but are not
limited to the following:

  • Manage the daily activities for the Investment Banking team with the aim of driving revenues from financial
    advisory, deal origination, negotiation and structuring activities;
  • Manage and leverage existing client relationships while establishing new local and regional ones to improve
    business opportunities and revenues;
  • Manage the internal credit and risk assessment proposal process for all capital markets financing
    transactions including: business & financial analyses, business model stress testing, valuation validation and
    testing, price determination and setting;
  • Execute the process flow and all aspects of bringing corporate finance transactions to market including:
    managing timelines and the communication process among the different professionals
    (accountants/auditors, counsel, trustee and regulators), ensuring that offering memoranda, prospectus
    and/or application for Exempt Distribution documentation are properly and timely filed, ensuring that all
    regulatory guidelines are properly adhered to;
  • Monitor trends in the financial industry to determine the investment appetite for innovative corporate
    finance deals.

Preferred profile

  • B.Sc. Degree in Finance or related field from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of five (5) years working experience in the related finance area
  • Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal and team building skills
  • Superior quantitative, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Good Financial Modelling skills
  • Excellent analytical writing and financial analysis skills
  • Knowledge in report publishing and company valuation
  • Well-honed Credit analysis /credit risk analysis skills
  • May be required to work beyond normal working hours
  • Island-wide travelling is required.
  • Must be the holder of a valid driver’s licence and the owner of a reliable motor vehicle
